Hickory Tavern - Holly Springs

The biscuits and gravy was peppery and good. The grilled shrimp in the Asian power bowl were spicy and delicious. We will try them again

The Smokehouse burger was excellent—perfect taste, temperature, and portion of house-made chips. The DoorDash delivery was also timely.

The wings and pretzels were fantastic, but the fish and chips were quite disappointing. For $18, there was barely any fish; it was mainly small, crispy, flat breaded bits.

As for the food, it was quite good—no complaints there. We had a lovely time enjoying our meal. Thank you, Corrine, for enhancing our experience! However, I do think they really need to hire a bartender who can manage the bar as well as serve drinks efficiently. Our experience with the bartender was not great; despite ordering several rounds, we had to wait far too long for our drinks—about 15 minutes for just two! This is something the management needs to address. Next time, we might skip the drinks if the same bartender is working.

The Tavern Cheeseburger was incredibly delicious! The Gouda Macaroni and Cheese was also quite tasty. The croissants were a bit small, but still enjoyable!
