The food at this restaurant was fantastic, and the prices are even more appealing. I highly recommend it for a quick lunch. The sushi is freshly prepared and ranks among the best in the area. It's a charming little spot with delightful surprises.
When my brother and I entered the restaurant, I couldn't believe my eyes—the man behind the counter had his bare feet resting on a footstool! We sat down and were served our food, but there were 3 or 4 flies buzzing around our meals. The moment that really got to me was when I found a fruit fly in the soy sauce. We should have left as soon as we saw his feet propped up, and definitely after encountering the soy sauce situation, but we didn't want to be rude, and we were hungry, so we stayed. However, we will never go back, even if it's the only place available.
Today was my first visit and I must admit, the sushi rolls were amazing! I had the coconut shrimp roll and the Hope roll. The flavor of the coconut shrimp was delightful. The sweetness of the coconut paired well with the jalapeño. The Hope roll was smooth and delicious. The texture of both was perfect. If you have ever eaten sushi that was too soggy or dry with chop sticks you know what I’m talking about. These were spot on! The gentleman that prepared my order was welcoming, friendly and informative. Will most definitely be a return customer.
Amazing sushi with so many choices. The Southern Chicken roll was outstanding and huge!! California rolls were delicious and a great price. The Hawaiian Roll was especially good. Not the fanciest looking building from the outside. But this hidden gem is worth the stop. Lots of other authentic Japanese food on the menu from Bento boxes to Hibachi that we can't wait to try next time.
