Dick's Drive In And Bbq - Hopkinsville

I have to say , I am very surprised by the other positive reviews. Our family has traveled most of the eastern states and we go BBQ hunting on most trips. That said , there is nothing special about this BBQ place.It 's hard to even call it BBQ. Neither the pork nor the Brisket were smokey. Neither were brined and very little seasoning on either. They both tasted like they were cooked in an oven with some salt on them . If that 's your thing then I guess go for it. I was hoping for BBQ ......Also the pork tasted on the older side , like old grease . The BBQ sauce isn 't BBQ , atleast not what anyone I know calls BBQ. It 's seasoned Ketchup ..... So the options are seasoned Ketchup and slightly spicey seasoned Ketchup. Lastly , they say they have Dr. Pepper and Coke on their sign , but were out of both. Hopkinsville , You have got to be able to do better than this. How this place is 4.5 stars , I will never know

I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm really glad I decided to stop by. It was late, and I had no luck finding a local place (not a fast food chain) when I arrived in town. Since the reviews mentioned BBQ and the place was open, I figured I’d give it a try. There was music playing outside, and it had a bar and liquor store vibe inside. Although the kitchen had closed, they kindly offered to dig up some brisket for me, which sounded perfect. I enjoyed some music and watched people having a good time while savoring my brisket. I even had plenty to take home! Don't let the appearance deceive you—this place served up a delicious dinner in a lively atmosphere. A big thanks to Dicks Drive In and BBQ for my meal!

Dick's has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the owners, Bruce and Mindy, are among the best bartenders I've ever encountered. They are incredibly efficient and attentive to all their customers. The prices are fantastic, and there's always a fun vibe in the place. They constantly find ways to entertain their guests, and I always have a great time when I visit. Thank you for such a wonderful experience! I really hate to see them close up shop! Plus, the food is excellent!

This is exactly what you hope for when you go out for barbecue! The food is so delicious that you end up devouring everything and forget to take pictures! It’s a must-visit if you’re traveling or living in the area!
