Chef Johnna's At The Desoto Club

This review is based on a visit for a dinner seminar. The food we had tonight was pretty good. The service in the seminar room was not good (dirty plates left on the table, water glasses not refilled) but that probably doesn't translate to the main dining room. It's a nice venue.

I attended a Christmas party at this restaurant, and while the food was good, it was the exceptional service that truly stood out. Bridget and Breanna were fantastic. Both had vibrant personalities and handled their responsibilities like true professionals. Having owned a restaurant for 20 years, I can say from experience that these two are a dream for any restaurant owner. This is my first time writing a review for a restaurant, but I felt compelled to share my thoughts. I hope they receive the recognition they deserve!

The De Soto Women's Club held its monthly meeting at DeSoto today, and Chef Brian did an exceptional job! The attendees were thrilled to have our meetings and luncheons at this venue this year. The staff worked diligently to provide us with a wonderful meal, and Brian personally encouraged us to be patient and work together as we navigated the COVID restrictions. We were asked to wear plastic gloves while serving ourselves food. The desserts were beautifully displayed, and I heard many positive remarks about them! A big shoutout to the staff. Menus were available for us to review, and the general consensus was that the entrée prices were very reasonable! Villagers, if you want our local restaurants to thrive, please support them and maintain a positive attitude as we all strive to improve our community!

I attended a birthday party here last night, and I must admit, I was a bit apprehensive when we arrived to find just two girls waiting on us. However, we were pleasantly surprised—Bridget and Breanna were absolutely phenomenal. They were the sweetest, hardest-working duo I've ever encountered. I affectionately referred to them as the dynamic duo. They served as both our bartenders and waitstaff, and we never found ourselves wanting for anything. The food was served quickly and was delicious. A few years ago, I wrote off the DeSoto Club and probably wouldn't have returned, but after this experience, I’m glad I did. I would definitely come back to enjoy the company of these lovely girls and explore more items from their menu.
