51fifteen Cuisine Cocktail - Houston

The food and service are consistently outstanding! However, one thing that surprised my partner and our guests was that our lunch lasted a bit longer than expected (from 1:30 to 5:00 PM). At around 4:15, someone dimmed nearly all the lights in the restaurant, as if it were still during the slower hours, which made us feel a bit rushed.

1. Lobster bisque - It had a great flavor, but it could have used more lobster meat. 2. Shrimp saffron risotto - This was really delicious. 3. Bread pudding - This was tasty as well.

The food was incredibly tasty and delicious. The service was exceptional. It was well worth the price.

Went for Brunch and our food was delish. The service was good but our waiter was not very engaging or friendly. I thought the food was brought out too fast. No lag time between courses so you may tell them in advance if you want it spaced out. The restaurant is clean design, well spaced tables and quite on the most part. I really liked their brunch choices an the prices were very reasonable. I had the Blackened shrimp omelet avocado toast. so good. My husband had steak and eggs. He asked for medium and it came out well done. So if you want medium ask for rare: Overall it was a nice brunch. We will certainly be going back.

Our reservation was 5:30 and they seated us after a few minutes around 5:40. The server gave us menus but never returned to our table although she was taking care of the table seated next to us that came in after we did. The restaurant was not busy and most tables in the dining room were empty. After a while someone poured us water and another brought us bread. The server walked by and never stopped at our table while we waited with our menus closed. Tables on both sides seated after us received their first courses and we still had nobody take our order . At 6:11 after waiting for over 30minutes without a server coming to take our order, I finally decided to say something because even the couple next to us looked at us and wondered why we had no food. The hostess came to wander around and I got her attention and asked why the server was skipping our table and I said we had been waiting over half an hour. We were annoyed at that point because it was not due to them being busy. The hostess returned and said there was a mixup in whose table it was! The person who brought our menus saw us just sitting there and could’ve checked with us or another server could’ve asked us. When someone came to take our order after that, we ordered cocktails and the HRW menu and the food was good and artfully presented. When the bill came, they didn’t take anything off to compensate for the service problem like maybe 1 of the 2 cocktails. I left a tip but felt like I shouldn’t have left anything due to lack of service for half an hour and then we got a server only after I inquired. I wonder how long they would’ve let us sit there? We almost walked out but we were hungry and already parked. I wanted to like this restaurant but the terrible service may keep me from returning.
