Cupcake Kitchen - Houston

We are here in Houston for a vacation weekend. We stopped in for lunch and or the seafood bowl (pasta, corn, boiled egg, potatoes, shrimp, crab patties with a sauce) out of all that, the shrimp and pasta was okay. Everything else needed to be cooked longer and add seasoning. For as long as we were waiting, you would think they were throwing down in the kitchen. I also bought a banana pudding cupcake except that there was no banana pudding flavor. It's just a regular yellow cake mix with whip cream icing and a vanilla wafer on top. It's really dry and bland.... I should've known some was up if you suppose to be a cupcake shop, they would highlight the cupcakes but instead they were sitting on a shelf that was open so basically the cupcakes are drying out. Even more so, it's OK to talk to your customers. On his kiosk, its says the seafood bowl was $20 but the order came up to $38. That's because in store its $25 with the $3.50 cupcake and tax. Smh.... Will not return.

I had the salmon pasta. The pasta was great salmon with salsa and the sides. They gave more than enough food!

Don't waste your time and/or money. I had salmon and shrimp pasta which wasn't seasoned and undercooked with stewed tomatoes that were mushy and disgusting. I wanted to love this place but for $25 I’ll never go again.

Man ...I ordered the jerk chicken wings plate. Mac and Cheese 2/5Rice and Peas 1/5Cabbage 3/5Jerk Wings 2.5/5Food looks amazing but doesn't taste it I felt like the chicken was a little too sweet. Some places make jerk chicken sweet, some make it more savory. What I had was sweet and was bordering on bbq chicken... which if that's the style you prefer than fine but I've been told from Caribbean New Yorkers that jerk chicken isn't supposed to be sweet. Whatever. It was ok The Mac and Cheese was Mac and Please ...They need to remix that recipe.Cabbage was ok The Rice and Peas were sad. I could tell they was a day old and also for some reason had been drenched in bbq sauce ? I mean .... Just what the hell was that ???? It really pissed me off especially since there was so much of it. Overall I was very underwhelmed. The food was ... aight, I coulda made it better. Oh ! I did order the banana pudding and that was slamming 5/5. Maybe I shouldn't of ordered jerk chicken from a place named after cupcakes I will come here again but for desserts only.

Please don't waste your time or money. I got the salmon pasta **** was nasty asf and under cooked salmon. Mac &cheese was burnt not tasty what so ever chileee throw the whole establishment away. corn bread not sweet spend $30 on trash the cook need to throw in his/her apron ! Never coming back . Almost vomited while eating
