Escalante's - Houston

The food was great and a fun ambience. Alexander gave my family the most welcoming service I had in years!

Excellent food, great service, and even though the restaurant was full of diners, it wasn't loud where we were sitting.

I had the Escalante Especial, which was good. The Charro beans were just ok. The three shrimp were not only very large but great tasting.

The waitress that attended our table was a stereotypical person. We were celebrating my sister-in-law's birthday. I have seen on the other table that they sing Happy Birthday to another person an give her the cake. When I told her when I told him that we have a birthday girl he said oh we will give her a piece of cake.Food: 4/5

Perfectly adequate food. Though slightly bland. Even when we asked for spicier sauce for the chips, still not particularly spicy. They signature guacamole was too chunky with things and not enough actual avocado. Shrimp tacos were good. Nice service and a nice space.Food: 4/5
