Gyro King - Houston

My favourite gyro place so far! Its a food truck on Old Spanish and Almeda near Chevron. Make a quick stop, you don't have to think much, order your food and it is not going to disappoint you. My favourite here is Chicken over rice and chicken gyro wrap. Ask for extra sauce on the rice it's worth it. Not very expensive, looks healthy. They are also know for their healthy fruit juice. The service is amazing. It doesn't take too long for them to prepare your food. 10/10 for the food and value for money.

Too many Halal places sprung around Medical Center since my first review. Food was okay and salad decreased in quantity and variety. They too have grown big to care much! I told them no lettuce but he didn't listen. Then when i repeated myself, the cashier said that i didn't say that at first???? When I stood my ground he said that there won't be any salad for the lack of lettuce. At this point, I had already made up my mind not to ever return again to this food truck! Bye... The gas station it sits in seemed a little dark but GK's bright LEDs will catch your attention.

Amazing Gyros wraps and chicken/lamp over rice items. I can say it?s one of the best I tried in Houston. Huge portion sizes and very reasonable pricing.

Customer service was wonderful/ great suggestions for meal n drink was on point/food was delicious and flavorful just what I wanted chicken lamb was seasoned nicely and the red sauce had a nice kick to it. The white sauce complimented the dish well also. The hummus and pita bread very good. Food arrived quickly w a friendly driver. Will definitely be ordering here again and again!!!! Smiley heart on my container was extra nice. Thank you so much for great service!

I haven?t eaten here in a while. My last three visits weren?t that good. 1st visit about 2 years ago: I caught food poisoning from the lamb over fries. The food was good and I?ve ordered from them many times before so I gave them another shot. 3 months after the 1st visit: i ordered a lamb gyro. Somehow there was melted clear plastic stuck on my gyro from it being burnt and places on something plastic. I could only eat 2/3 of the gyro, I should?ve taken it back or called and left a complaint but I didn?t .. :I My last visit, early 2022: I order another lamb gyro and I could tell that it had been sitting for a bit because it wasn?t hot. I wore a crop top that reached my bellybutton and sweatpants that were loose. The guy that took my order was being creepy. ?I love you, here you go wife.? I made it known that I had a boyfriend. But as I?m walking off he says ?I love you? again. He said these things low enough for the cook not to hear. I won?t be coming alone again if I come back.
