Absolutely my favorite place for breakfast! The staff is amazing!
Overall, it's an average spot. The wait time was shorter than expected, but the service could use some improvement. You’re assigned a table number, but you're responsible for finding your own seat. It took a few minutes for the menus to be brought to us. The chips and salsa were quite good, with the chips tasting and looking homemade. I ordered the green chilaquiles, but I couldn’t finish them because the tomatillo sauce was overly sour, as if it had been mixed with a lot of lime juice. However, the agua de Jamaica was really delicious. Parking is limited. I would consider giving it another chance.
Food is bomb! The chilaquiles were some of the best I have ever had! Definitely recommend. I got both red and green, but I think the green was better. The torta was also good
This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Houston. It is beautifully decorated, the service is fast and friendly, and the food is good overall. My latest visit was earlier this week, and although the food was good, it's not how I remembered it. I ordered the chilaquiles rojos with two eggs, which were overdone by the way (I requested them sunny side up). The coffee with cinnamon was delicious as always. They have a small parking lot, so you'll probably have to park on the street, but hey! This happens all over the Heights. All in all, it's a good spot to eat authentic Mexican food. I highly recommend it.
