For our daughter's first year, her theme animal has been a sloth, so we wanted to incorporate that into her birthday cake. We found some inspiration online for the design we envisioned—a sort of fantasy cake that seemed impossible to create. We reached out to Karin with a picture and asked if she could make a cake like it. Since we don’t live in Hudson, our communication with Karin was through email and text. She said yes, provided a price, and we agreed on a pickup date, making the whole process wonderfully easy—just as my 15-year-old would say, "easy peasy lemon squeezy." I have to admit, I was a bit nervous on the day we were scheduled to pick up the cake. My wife mentioned a show called "Nailed It," joking that our cake could end up looking like one of the disastrous creations featured on that show, which made us both a bit anxious. However, when we arrived, the cake was presented in an exquisite box tied with a ribbon and included a candle. It looked so incredible that we nearly cried. The taste was just as perfect as the appearance. Everything about the cake was impressive—guests at the party were in awe, with plenty of "oohs" and "aahs" to go around in admiration of the cake. While our daughter may not remember this special day, the photos will remind us that we truly went the extra mile for her first birthday, thanks to Karin at Cakes by Karin. In my opinion, she is a true treasure, and if you have a dream cake in mind, I highly doubt anyone in the area could do a better job!

Our kid has got to the age where he understands the significance of birthdays. He has been asking for a train cake for months! Karin delivered an amazing cake and made it so special for him. I called Karin to inquire about a cake and was treated very rudely, almost like I was bothering her. Her tone and attitude were not nice when I called and she said she couldn't even offer a price range and put it on me to send her a picture. I wanted to support a local business but I ended up feeling like a bother. I will go with an established bakery in town that was kind and helpful and got back to me very quickly. A little customer service goes a long way.

Karin went above and beyond in making my vision a reality for my grandmother 's 90th birthday cake. She was open to my unique requests and got really creative with it. She was awesome to work with and incorporated everything I imagined and made helpful suggestions based on her expertise. My grandma absolutely loved the cake and all of the details that went into the design. Everyone said it was delicious cake and frosting, wedding cake quality She is still talking about the cake weeks later and it really made her special day extra special. I would highly recommend Cakes by Karin for any event!!
