Midwood Smokehouse - Huntersville

Glad we found this place. Their food is legit Texas style BBQ. The fatty brisket was delicious. So were the ribs and pulled pork. My wife and I shared the 4 meat plate(well fed) and it was alot of food. The nachos were bomb too.The waiter was very friendly and had several recommendations on what to order for drinks and food.Food: 5/5

Midwood smokehouse is perfectly named because overall it is mid. Cornbread appetizer was served lukewarm but was good. Brisket was only average, even for NC. Pork was average as well. Ribs and burnt ends were both very good! Baked beans and bacon wrapped jalapeños were great, mac and cheese were quite good. Slaw was average. Ended with banana pudding which was also really good. So some good some average. Overall decent for chain bbq restaurant.

Best BBQ around!! We are lucky to have this place so close! Birkdale location is the best! Get a bourbon flight and enjoy some great food! Catered our wedding too and knocked it out the park! Awesome management staff too! My wife and I take our dogs and everyone is always so helpful!Kid-friendliness: Staff is very polite!Parking: Parking is tough right now with the Cheesecake factory going in. Everyone recommends this place but it’s just average. Lots of spicy surprises with aioli. Told waitress daughter hates cilantro. Nachos came out with some kind of bean and corn salsa…seasoned with cilantro. It looks cool inside. But staff definitely not the typical warm welcoming we usually get in NC trips. Don’t know if the location influenced that…store employees in this area had a similar demeanor. Glad to say we have tried it but nothing to write home about.
