Írjon visszajelzéstExcellent Italian cuisine with that aromatic fragrance of garlic when you enter. A very warm and cozy setting and very friendly servers. Fresh calamari was very fresh as were all the other quality ingredients used in preparation of the good tasting dishes all the way through dessert. A must for any rotation.
Consistently one of the best restaurants on Long Island. Dined here last Sunday night with three couples. Nader personally welcomed each guest. Nader recommended the big eye tuna and boy was he right. It was fantastic. Love the Italian salad. So many specials that you won't need to see the menu. Good wine selection. Cozy atmosphere. Attentive service. A very special place that gets everything right. GO! But make a reservation.
A quintessential local Italian gem! The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with only 12 tables, as noted in other reviews. We were fortunate to snag a last-minute reservation on a Monday night, and the place was bustling with patrons. My husband and I started with a Caesar salad, followed by spaghetti carbonara and veal Sorrento. The Caesar salad was perfectly dressed with an eggless dressing, and the homemade croutons were fantastic—crispy on the outside and light on the inside. There was a chicken Sorrento option on the menu, and we politely requested a substitution for veal, which the staff happily accommodated. Though the veal was a bit on the dry side, the accompanying flavors were enjoyable. As for the carbonara, it was hands down the best I’ve ever had! Generous amounts of bacon added a wonderful smoky flavor to the creamy sauce. I’ll definitely be coming back!
On my return visit to use my $50 Groupon on January 9, I mentioned it was my birthday (coming up on January 11), but unfortunately, no one acknowledged it when we arrived or during our meal. The mussels with white garlic sauce were good, although a couple tasted a bit off. The black sea bass was decent but presented as a bit of a messy pile. My boyfriend ordered the branzino stuffed with lobster and crab, which unfortunately contained some panko breadcrumbs, making it off-limits for me. I tried it, and it was significantly better than the black sea bass! I was left feeling a little disappointed, especially after spending $90 on two entrées and still being hungry. I was particularly let down that Nadar didn’t have the sesame-seared tuna that night, especially after seeing it featured in his YouTube video. My advice? Skip the black sea bass – it would be perfect for a Bass-O-Matic commercial! (A fun, early SNL reference.)
The staff and the food are exceptional. I can't wait to return! I absolutely loved it! You should experience it for yourself. Consider using a Groupon voucher!
