The Barroco restaurant is part of Select Group business (hotel Select, Barroco restaurant, Caprice cake shop, Pastry shop, Boema coffee shop, Kingsley bar, Winstage club, Terrace Select). Select group building is important for the city history as before here were officiated the marriages (my parents got married here in 1967), then was hosting the financial offices of the hall, later on to be a Universal store. The building is redesigned to offer to the guests the flavor of the beginning of 20st century mixed with the facilities of 21st century.The restaurant is elegant combining the olive color for the walls paper and chairs upholstery with the chestnut color of the furniture and walls cells.Wine and food is mainly from Romanian famous cellars and cuisine (my preference as I am Romanian), but also international cuisine is available.We spent a divine night with the 60-70-80's music accords. We danced. We had a fantastic culinary experience.

Excellent food and friendly staff, but the paintings on the walls of the restaurant a little disappointing.

The Barroco restaurant is very well situated, in the Unirii Plaza, in the very hystorical heart of the city. This is a classical restaurant, with very good service and very well prepared food. The dishes are very tasty no matter what you request. I tried steak and also turkey, lamb and pork. All of them are an enchanting for our senses. The wine is also varied sorts. The deserts in Barroco restaurant are the best in town because they have the best and oldest renowned sweets laboratory. So, this is a must, if you want to have a good dinner in Iasi ! Try them !
