After taking a seat at the sushi belt, we were attended to by a clearly inexperienced waiter who struggled to understand our requests. He brought us the menu and asked the customary question, “Would you like something to drink?” We politely declined and dived straight into the sushi buffet. All the food was freshly prepared, and the flavors rivaled those of many larger sushi restaurants in Cape Town. One standout feature of BOA is their unique menu items, which are a delightful alternative to the typical salmon roses and maki rolls. There were only two dedicated staff members working behind the counter, who were also handling takeaway orders, which did slow down the service a bit. Overall, I had a pleasant experience at BOA. It’s an ideal spot for anyone looking to enjoy delicious sushi at an excellent price (R149 for the buffet). I will definitely return whenever I'm in the mood to indulge in sushi.
Cape Town is fantastic because there’s literally a sushi place on every corner. We discovered this spot, and it's quite good for those times when you’re craving a quick all-you-can-eat sushi fix.
While the sushi was tasty, you sadly had to wait a long time for the food. The restaurant wasn't too busy but the belt was empty so you couldn't even nibble between platters. We will be back for the sushi but maybe during off-peak time to properly enjoy it! I'd also recommend simply going for their buffet special (R149) rather than paying for plates; most plates with fish are above R45 and if you plan on eating 4 or more you'll probably get more value for money with their buffet.
I prefer the Best Of Asia in Green Point. This one seems so small and dark, with not as much entertainment to see as one can in the streets of Green Point. Sushi however is never a disappointment. Especially the buy 1 get 1 offer, so many combos so little time !
