This dining experience started off well with quick seating and friendly service from a young blonde woman. However, there were a few areas that could use improvement, such as their COVID safety measures. They had a QR code but did not check for vaccination status, and the person in charge was not wearing a mask. Additionally, I had difficulty with the menu as I do not like tomatoes, eggs, or mushrooms, which limited my options. Despite this, the manager was very helpful in selecting dishes for me to enjoy. The food was delicious and they offered a tasty hot chocolate with marshmallows. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and would recommend this restaurant.
Went here with a bunch of friends for a Sunday morning brekky. The food was good, great service and great views over the Iluka waterways. They also do lunches and dinners but check for dinner opening hours and days.
We enjoyed a beautiful evening meal on the deck outside at sunset. Fantastic location with great food and service.
Absolutely delightful! Fresh produce. Amazing 'marriage ' of flavours and cooking techniques, beautifully presented in the most picturesque setting. We 've eaten in hatted restaurants in Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle and Hunter Valley. Chez Basho is right up there with them! Ridiculously cheap in comparison. This place is a hidden gem, well worth the diversion from the M1. The Staff? Courteous and efficient. Service? Excellent. The Chef? Wow! What a talent! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. Thank you!
