Our family was part of a group of 19, including both children and adults, and I found the servers to be very attentive. My fish tacos were quite good, though they could have used a little more lime juice. My daughter enjoyed her chicken bacon mac and cheese. My wife loved the pasta shells but thought the pan was a bit unclean. What really impressed me was that they served the children first—this is definitely a great way to win over parents!

The chowder was awful, and I found the lobster tough and difficult to chew. I also tried the shells, but they were flavorless. The fish tacos were just mediocre at best. Some others in our group of five shared their thoughts: the salmon was okay, the steak was subpar, and the Turkey Club was underwhelming. To make matters worse, the service was lacking. Our meals arrived very slowly, and the drinks took even longer. One person in our group ordered a second glass of wine, which never arrived during the meal. After waiting for so long, he eventually went to the bar to get it himself. When we asked the waitress about the delay, her response was, "I'm not the bartender." At the end of our meal, we spoke with the manager, who was genuinely apologetic and accommodating. I wish I could give the restaurant an extra star for the management's response, but I can't do that without considering the overall experience for future diners who rely on Yelp reviews. To be fair, our visit was in mid-June 2016, which was just the beginning of the high season in Nova Scotia. It's possible that our server was new to the industry, and bad service can happen anywhere. Perhaps by July, the restaurant will have improved. However, the food is a significant concern as well. I don't know who was running the kitchen, but their culinary skills certainly need a lot of improvement. This is definitely something that needs to be addressed if they want to provide a pleasant dining experience.
Make sure to try the pulled pork – it's a must!
