Cabot - Inverness

After spending four nights at Cabot, we had our best meal at Cabot Bar during our first lunch. I highly recommend the chowder, which comes with a soft biscuit, as well as the lobster roll served with fries. You definitely shouldn’t miss trying the Cabot Ale; it's perfect for enjoying after your round at Links while you watch other groups finish up throughout the afternoon and into the night. I dined outside next to the 18th green at sunset, and the setting was simply magnificent. The food and drinks were excellent, complemented by exceptional service. Price per person was around $20–30. Overall, I give the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect score of 5.

We dined on the patio the other night with our one-year-old, and despite the heat, we had a great experience. The kitchen was operating with a limited menu due to the high temperatures, and the outdoor seating was quite busy with all the tables occupied. Still, the food and service were excellent. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We started with the peach and prosciutto flatbread, followed by a club sandwich and a chicken bowl. Everything we ordered was delicious. Our server apologized repeatedly for the delay in getting our appetizer, but honestly, we hardly noticed the wait. It felt like a reasonable amount of time, and we enjoyed the view as we waited. We will definitely return.

Don’t let the name fool you, this is a high end restaurant with an amazing menu featuring elevated cuisine. Definitely worth making a trip to Cabot for this meal even if you don’t plan on golfing. We had the scallops, and the flatbread for appetizers and the pasta a steak for our mains. Everything was excellent. Not often do I eat somewhere where everything exceeds my expectations. Finished it off with the best dulce de Leche cheesecake I have ever had.
