Joensy's - Iowa City

Stopped here while traveling and all I can say is that the tenderloin was so bland and dry. Food sucked I don’t know how anyone eats here.

This was a terrible let down for me. I used to eat at Joensy's when it was in Solon and had the best tenderloins. This location has for me destroyed the brand. The tenderloin was not seasoned at all and did not taste like it was fresh meat, honestly I could only force myself to eat half of the sandwich. I hear the locations in Cedar Rapids and Central City are much better someday I'll try them but for now I recommend not going to this location in Iowa City if you are a true Iowan that loves tenderloins.

DON’T EAT HERE!!! Was there for the weekend for a game and decided to try this place. Worst mistake ever. The tenderloin was drier than the Sahara Desert. When I complained the only came out flipping a lid. The dude is totally unhinged and it shows in his staff and quality of food. It’s a shame this place is still open. They prey on drunk college kids because they can’t tell the difference in quality. I wish o could give zero stars.

Nicely hidden Yes. Owners were very personal and friendly. Very recommended.

Blue cheese on a half tenderloin heaven!!! Good food at a good price. Enjoyed talking to Mrs Jones.
