Umami Burger - Irvine

The place was not too busy, maybe 4 tables of people and the rest of the tables open. there were also 4 employees in front of the house. we ordered the umami burger and the black garlauch burger. after we abandoned the order, the server disappeared. we sat a bit and nobody went to eat. Finally we asked to see if our order is ready and it came out. the burgers were much better than I expected. the burgers were crazy juice and the cheese was melted to perfection. I really liked eating, but the service was the complete opposite. we waited about 15 minutes until we flattened a coworker (not our server) for check-in.

Our server had no papers to give up our order. we ordered two double-burgers. after 15 minutes he came back and asked again, still no paper and pencil! one of the burgers came as single? I tried the truffleburger, it was very average.

As many others have said that this place was fantastic a few years ago. with top notch and unique burger. I can say that eating is now compared with a fast food quality. a real scandal.

I was here. last time I brought a friend and it was a embarrassment. our burgers burned. we asked for a complete order of pommes, but this is apparently no longer offered. despite the costly prices, we made us feel very imperfect. I don't think I'm returning, they expect to pay $50 for two people.

The new chef ruined the menu. The fried pickles which were unique to Umami Burger is gone, the one and only Jalapeño sauce which gave an amazing flavor to appetizers is out of menu. The truffle burger which was juicy and melting in your mouth is no longer like that. Not gonna get Umami again because the menu got messed up!!!! Was a regular customer. Bring back the old chef and menu!!!!!!
