Murphy's Deli - Irving

He has started working from the office now, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the deli across the street is open. I love the food, especially the taste of their Panini. It would be even better if they offered a wider variety of products.

I really appreciate the fresh vegetables they use at this restaurant. I also admire their commitment to cleanliness. The muffaletta was a generous size and absolutely delicious!

Great and welcoming place! I love her paninis. Have to visit if you are looking for a quick bite with a beautiful, relaxing environment.

Okay spot... Chipotle Chicken Sandwich is pretty good.

It is surprisingly difficult to find good, healthy food in the midst of the Houston medical center complex. Murphy's is on the 2nd floor of the Skurlock Building and is well worth the effort to find it. A buffet offers dozens of salads and spreads including tabouli, hummus, chicken salad, and more. There are also a couple of different soups and many prepackaged cookies, baklava, and other delights. The real star is the menu of freshly made deli sandwiches. The paninis are wonderful. The decor is bright but welcoming and comfortable. The dozen or so restaurants in the immediate vicinity tend toward either national chains (Subway, Chipotles) or small dingy Chinese or other take out places. Murpy's is a real find and offers high quality, diverse, healthy, and inexpensive food.
