Hungry Tarpon - ISLAMORADA

We had a great time here feeding the tarpon, shopping and relaxing on the water. Sweet little shops and if you get the shaved ice cream, get The Islamaroda. It's great! We went out to the charter and the guys were great. They really helped us submit the fish and we cooked them in the restaurant. The restaurant is far from the imagination, it is outdoors overlooking everything. The food was amazing!!!! The shrimps are the best I ever had. We love it here. Have eaten here 2 days in a row!!! We sat in chairs on the dock and had a crabble, shark, tarpon and manatee in front of us.

We were there during Costume party and the kids, band and wait staff was fun. We stopped on the way back from Key West to Key Largo. Best fish Tacos around and the burger was spectacular. Thanks for a great end to a great day.

Tacky Tourist looking for something yummy and we found it. Our family of 3 each had something different.. Fish and chips, fish sandwhich, and shrimp tacos. Although pretty average, I was sold with the perfect crunchy batter on the fried fish and shrimp. While eating we also enjoyed watching the guest feed the tarpon. Very simple outside eatery worth a visit. I will be coming back.

Absolute fun! What a great find on the way down the Keys. This waterfront establishment is not short on great comfort food but serves up family laughs with a bucket of bait fish that you feed to the ever present tarpon swimming below the dock. Nice costing versus portions makes this a must stop for anyone in their travels. Stop in and mingle with the locals !

This was our first time in the keys, and as recommended by our friends, the Hungry Tarpon was the best for breakfast. The menu offers great breakfast options that are far from boring or simple, and the portions are huge for a price that is much less than what you find in a resort. The setting is really tied with canvas linings between the treetops to cover the dining area, with a beautiful view of the water. We enjoyed it so much that we went to breakfast the next day! The only drawback is that they don't have an ice cream coffee, so we made ourselves!
