Carn Vean Cafe - ISLES OF SCILLY

Our stay in the Scillies ended perfectly with the first day of the season at Carn Vean. We had been here before and didn't think it could get any better, but we were pleasantly surprised. The food, service, speed, and warm welcome were all outstanding. The value for money is excellent and far superior to other places we tried. They have added new covered seating areas and offer plenty of spots to soak up the sun. We stumbled upon Carn Vean about 6-7 years ago while hiking towards Pellistry, and now it has become our go-to for meals. I highly recommend making the trip—whether by foot, bike, or car—for a coffee, cake, or lunch.

The restaurant has a lovely and friendly atmosphere, and it's very convenient for those visiting Pelistry Beach nearby. I ordered tea and some snacks, and they offer a variety of other options as well, including a wide selection of cakes that my wife tried to tempt me with!

The dining experience was fantastic, and it was so relaxing to sit in the beautiful garden. The kids enjoyed watching the chickens and birds. It truly is a magical spot for lunch! Highly recommended!

Beautiful protected place, even in today's strong winds. big eating, friendly staff, and always a sparrow or two to help her teller delete if they can't manage it all

This place was one of the most welcoming I have ever been too. It is cash only so be prepared. The lovely lady said we can drop the money back later on but we had enough between us. Out of the back gate and 5 minute walk later you are on one of the most beautiful beaches and seashells galore! Highly recommend a visit if your ever on St Mary's island.
