Írjon visszajelzéstI can’t figure out why this place is never busy?! The food is solid, the service is great and the location is perfect. The green chili queso is so good and the portions are huge! Had the chicken fajitarrito, this time around.Drawback: limited wine selection, served me an ice cold Cabernet Sauvignon.
The food is very delicious. Made fresh when you order it. The salsa is flavorful without burning your mouth. The chips are made fresh and come out hot. Without a doubt they have the best Menudo in town. I just wish they would fill it to the top of the bowl. The cornea Sada tacos are phenomenal. The Barbacoa tacos and chimichanga is flavorful and juicy. Most of all the presentation of your food is beautiful. It hits all your five senses, flavor, visual, taste, and smell. The Zacatecas influence from Mexico definitely shows in their food. Although it is a bit expensive for Mexican food. With that being said, you can tell ingredients are high-quality and fresh. One of the only things that would put Food Topia over the top is having artwork from Zacatecas, in order to immersed you in the culture of where the food influence comes from.
The Spanish rice is probably the best I’ve ever had. The enchiladas were great and the menudo was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Definitely get the chips and salsa as well, you won’t regret it. I’m really surprised this placed isn’t packed wall to wall when we visited (Saturday evening at 6:30PM). We’ll definite be coming back.
This restaurant is straight-up awesome! I got carne asada and Al pastor tacos, and my girlfriend got the grilled chicken quesadilla. The carne asada was perfectly seasoned and the pico de gallo was extremely fresh, I believe it was made the day of our visit.Perfect lunch spot, I plan to return soon!
YES!When you walk in the door and are seated, Foodtopia already stands out in that their chips are from fried flour tortillas as opposed to corn tortillas. They were light, crispy, and their salsa was balanced and complemented them well.I ordered the birria quesadilla, and it was nothing short of fantastic! The refried beans that came with the dish were quite good, but nothing super remarkable. The same goes with the rice. It did have some seasoning on it and it was quite enjoyable, but it was more like a third base hit as opposed to a home run.The birria quesadilla on the other hand, was phenomenal! The cheese was very fresh and came packed with flavor and a little bit of stringy biteback! The beef inside was flavorful, juicy and cooked to perfection! The birria soup and chile you could dip it in both added so much more to the flavor of the dish, and they had just enough spice to where you could feel it, but not enough to make you uncomfortable. Even the fried corn empanada it came in had a burst of flavor on its own, and the sauce drizzled on top was icing on the cake!Based on how empty the place was while I was there, I have to say, Foodtopia is HIGHLY underrated and deserves more business! Dare I say it is up there with Los Olivos in terms of quality!Next time you are thinking about El Pinto or Cocina Azul, come here instead. Seriously.
