Almeida Restaurant Bar - Islington

If you are looking for something unique and impressive, this may be the place for you. Fine dining in Islington. Crisp white tablecloths, polished glasses, and a beautifully set restaurant. The food is beautifully presented and delicious. My seabass was cooked perfectly and served with al dente vegetables. The service was attentive but not obtrusive. Overall, a wonderful dining experience.

We ate here with a group of seven last weeks. we were pre-ordered, it was not busy and we were not impressed. terrible service. that is why I gave this place such a low assessment. don't get me wrong, eating is amazing, but for the price it should be. simply do not expect to ask yourself several times! they bring their own water when they are plastered. once we had a drink with our disappointment that we fought to get more drinks for the remaining two courses. and the kicker a 12.5% service fee on a big bill that just tells us about the service we paid. again, it was very expensive but great.

For lunch on a lazy Saturday was at Almeida, a French restaurant, near Islington tube. It's located in a nice area, where there are alot of funky, independent shops around the area. Inside, it's decorated in a tasteful, modern way. Not unlike many other places of the same ilk. For starters, the Lawyer went for the smoked salmon blini with dill cream cheese.
