Public House - Islington

The customer service at this restaurant is very poor. I visited on a Saturday night and was shocked at the lack of attention from the staff. It took about 20 minutes to get served at each of the three places I visited. The main bartender was very unprofessional, throwing glasses around and being generally obnoxious. The staff need to remember that customers are there to enjoy a drink with friends, not to watch the staff misbehave. It's a shame because the restaurant has the potential to be a nice place.

This restaurant is a quirky hidden gem. I have been here for drinks and was impressed by the delicious homemade bar snacks. My wife enjoyed a tasty baby burger while I had a unique steak tartare as a bar snack. We returned for Sunday dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the gin-based Bloody Mary for only ten pounds. It was the best Bloody Mary I have ever had. The sunbread was also incredible. The staff were kind, though a bit reserved, and although the prices were not cheap, the quality and value for money were exceptional. I highly recommend this hidden gem. April 12, 2011.

The restaurant felt cozy and comfortable, similar to my own living room. However, the food did not meet my expectations. The dishes were overcooked, lacked flavor, and were not well seasoned. The prices on the menu and wine list were too high for the quality of the offerings. It was disappointing because I wanted to enjoy my dining experience at this place.

Terrible!. what a great disappointment this event was. I made a drink on Thursday night to be greeted only by the two bars/owners? very rude. the barman became angry when I asked for a vodka and a tonic, and informed me that they did not sell vodka because it did not bring us any cash, I would never have heard so much perseverance in my life. did the beefeater gin or wray and nephew bring something else I asked? Really good service, Nice ambience, but the food is overpriced, and for some dish the portion are ridiculously small. It cost us 77£ for two with two glass of wine 2 starter and 2 mains.
