Warm and cozy, clean and pleasant. Great pub with a wonderful staff, particularly festive mounted animal heads, we are already planning our next visit.
Came for a Sunday roast with friends. Beautiful dining room with wonderful skylight made for a great ambience. Staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Food was delivered quickly and beautifully presented, and the taste lived up to the presentation. Minor quibble was that the broccoli could have used another minute in the pan, apart from that everything was cooked to perfection. By consensus, the best Yorkshire pudding we'd had and the roast potatoes scored highly too. Good vegetarian options matched up to the standard of the meat dishes. One of the best Sunday roasts we can remember having in London.
Love their Sunday roasts. Have always been pleased with their offerings and all the trimmings. They do a good ****** mary and love the decor.
Our first visit to The Cellars proved to be a pleasant experience. The Edinburgh part of the name has been dropped as a re-branding to match the refurbishment. No dark and dingy cellar here. The dining area is large and lofty as befits a former ballroom and means that there's plenty of space between tables. Cosy it ain't. The menu is short but the dishes are appealing and the food that arrived at our table was first class. The service was efficient and unfussy. A great meal in a very characterful venue.
