Írjon visszajelzéstBased on my experience, this restaurant does not authentically represent Japanese culture, similar to many establishments in Ithaca that are owned by Korean proprietors. However, it does serve as a venue for Korean companies looking to recruit graduates from Cornell.
You can give the sushi a try, especially on Tuesdays when there’s a 40% discount. The flavor is decent, but nothing extraordinary.
The service was extremely slow, and the restaurant was hardly busy. The sushi had an unpleasant taste, almost like it was past its freshness. The pickled ginger was dry and had a flavor reminiscent of furniture polish.
Extremely slow and careless service. came on a reservation and it’s clear that they weren’t prepared to serve us. maybe 2 waiters total?? we still hadn’t received our food even 2.5 hours after our reservation began. also, someone in our party ordered veggie dumplings, and they gave them meat dumplings. after complaining, they absolutely insisted it was tofu. (it was most definitely not vegetarian. they refused to remake it. my tempura udon was tasteless and i had to dump some soy sauce into it to get any flavor whatsoever (at least the tempura was ok . all the meals were made so carelessly — the sushi looked fine, but anything from the actual kitchen looked like defrosted frozen food literally thrown onto a plate. no care in how anything looked. my father owns a japanese restaurant and i am aware of how much work and precision goes into each dish, even the ones that don’t come from the sushi bar. none of that precision was shown here. honestly super disappointed by this experience. a lot of people in our group is upset and disappointed as well. example of dirty, careless plating in the image (spicy pork don . in addition, the whole of the restaurant was dirty; i had to wipe down our table with a wet napkin from the bathroom because of how sticky it was. there was a literal empty can of white claw in the corner of the reservation room.
We ordered our food at 6:40pm. By 7:40pm we were still waiting for our meal. Food arrived at 8pm. The salmon teriyaki was cold and had a hair in it. Two orders arrived mixed up on one plate. When we sent it back, they returned the same dirty plate to us after scraping part of the food off. Serving dishes with old pieces of ginger still stuck inside were set out for us to use. We were one of two tables in the entire place. Don't waste your time. Skip this restaurant.
