Írjon visszajelzéstI’ve dined here regularly and tonight was the last time. A friend and I settled in on the patio around 7pm. While not very busy, service was extremely slow. There was only 1 server. My friend order portobello fries. It took almost 50 minutes to get to the table and then they came out looking like beer battered cod- huge greasy battered hunks of mushroom. After one bite, it was a no and sent back. There was a significant wait between each dish that we ordered. I ordered fries. The kitchen forgot to drop them. Our amazing server Blake came back to tell us the bad news and we laughed saying at least they’d be hot. They finally came around 8:30pm.After asking for our receipts, our server came and told us that the manager refused to remove the portabello fries from the tab because “there was nothing wrong with them”. We politely asked to speak with said manager. My friend was displeased with the mushroom fries and it took forever to get to our table.Peter, the owner came out and my friend calmly explained the concern. He said a firm “No” and rudely told us that he was in the kitchen and we were lying about about the time we received our food. Next, he brought over the server who confirmed our wait time. Peter still refused to the remove the item. We both expressed that this would be our last time patronizing the establishment if the item wouldn’t be removed from the ticket.I told Peter that I dine there often and if an $8 appetizer was worth the price of hundreds of dollars in business then so be it. He said that was fine with him and walked away. You only have to tell me one time that you don’t want my money. I’ll gladly spend it at Manship, Elvies or any place other than here.

Stopped by Library Lounge At Fairview Inn last night for cocktails and dinner. Our waiter Blake was great. I ordered the flatbread pizza of the day and the portabella fries. After 30 minutes or so of waiting Blake informs us that there’s a 20 top and that’s why it was taking so long. Shortly after my flatbread comes out. About 20 minutes later my portabella fries come out. They were not good. Very doughy and greasy. Think hush puppies, Captain D’s fish, corn dogs from the fair. Blake comes back and ask if I’m enjoying them. I look and him and smiles and he politely takes them away. My guest and I continue to chat and enjoy our time. When Blake brings the tickets he says, “I asked my manager to take the portabella fries off, but he said no because there was nothing wrong with them.” I said well not only were they not good but they took almost 50 minutes to come out. I ask to speak with the manager—Peter. Peter arrives and lets me know he’s not the manager that he is the owner. I share with him my experience with the portabella fries and that it took at least 50 minutes for them to come out. He tells me that’s not true because he was in the kitchen. Blake comes back out and shares that the fries came out 20 minutes after the pizza (which were both ordered together). So I respond, sir it took 30 minutes for the pizza and extra 20 minutes for the fries, so yes that was 50 minutes. I told him if I had it I had to pay for the fries, I definitely would not be coming back and I would leave reviews about my experience and his rudeness. He looked at me and said I’m fine with that and walked away. I paid my ticket. Left a nice tip for Blake, but The Library at Fairview Inn never has to worry about me coming back.
Staff and food are wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay at the Fairview. The Library lounge is a fun place with great atmosphere for Friends.
This is a wonderful spot if you want to indulge in some great drinks and a calm atmosphere. The staff is wonderful and it has beautiful scenery. My favorite aspect are the magnolia trees used for aesthetic. I really appreciate that the trees were used for their beauty rather than being cut down. Also an awesome place for any events! Kate Head does an outstanding job working with people as well as organizing. Her customer service is 10/10!
