Me and my fiancé are both from NY and trying to find good Italian and this was not it. 10/10 do NOT recommend. Also 95% of the menu had mushrooms in it, heads up.
Have you ever been to Charleston SC? There's a restaurant there that's so good, people wait hours to get into, no reservations allowed. It's an incredible oyster bar and seafood restaurant called 167Raw.Catullo's is the 167Raw of Italian food in Jacksonville. The food is so good, I literally would wait pretty much any amount of time. I'll just leave it there. My wife took the photos of the entrees so I'll let her post those. I'll post our desserts.
Where to start? Humble origins, delicious food, and incredible execution. You 'll be lucky to grab two seats at the bar on a busy night. The atmosphere is unique in the best of ways. The cozy and intimate feel is completed by the soul warming, Grandmas recipe, Italian fare.Hands down the best Italian I 've had in Jacksonville. And hands down the best I 've had in years! The featured menu items are a must see!
The line is fake. They let 2-4 tables in after cryptically opening 1 blind. Then 2-4 more tables are let in.,, creating an illusion Outback Created 30 years ago. Food comes out too fast because it 's not cooked! After which, there 's no line . Undercooked sticky pasta. Raw garlic in the sauce. Kids pasta was undercooked swimming in butter, swimming. Flat water comes in Aquapan- which I 'm good with, why not the cap?! This a an expensive joke. Carrabba 's is consistent. Jax doesn 't know good food. Ambience- the cryptic seating created an illusion it 's full in demand. It 's loud, crowded go elsewhere. 1 out of 10
I just want to share that this restaurant l is one of the best experiences in Italian food I've had in a long time. They cook the sauce for 4 hours just like my mother did back from the old days. It's that deep rich red sauce pasta pasta is all fresh. You won't be able to get on a reservation it's a first-come-first-serve so it makes it fair for everyone. Be prepared to wait, but it's certainly worth it.Here is a picture of myself and the owner of the restaurant. They're getting ready to open up in nocatee community of Florida. I highly recommend checking out the restaurant.
