Chili's Grill - Jacksonville

I visited the restaurant at 2:30 PM on a Sunday. The service was a bit slow, but otherwise acceptable. Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing. The steak was overly seasoned and had a slightly slimy texture, possibly due to a poorly executed marinade; I barely touched it. The rice was undercooked, the salads were small and lacked freshness, and the fries tasted stale. I had expected a reliable place for good food, but I was sadly let down.

The food was enjoyable, and the portions were always generous. My wife ordered the Cajun shrimp pasta but ended up receiving chicken instead. Nevertheless, she still liked it. My burger was delicious, and we finished off with a molten lava cake for dessert!

I ordered the fajitas trio, which included shrimp, chicken, and steak. Unfortunately, the food was lacking flavor, and the meat was incredibly tough to chew, to the point that I couldn't eat it. It resembled cube steak rather than proper fajitas. When I brought this up with the manager, they insisted it was fajitas beef, but I disagreed, as it didn’t taste like steak at all.

Decided last minute to take the kids out to dinner, and Chili’s was a great choice. The service was excellent, and the food was good as always. The only downside is that even the Chili’s menu items are becoming more and more expensive, and soon a family of 4 will not be able to eat out even at a nice Chili’s. I understand why prices are increasing, but it is starting to affect the menu options as they no longer have the great deals on Meals for 2. Otherwise, we had a great family dinner in a great atmosphere.

Delicious! the salad is a little spicy, but the chicken sandwich is perfect!
