Hum , where to start?. Having eaten oysters in so many ways in at least seven states. I 'm not sure where these guys came from. The oyster, Hidden in a 4to1 ratio , cream cheese/fry crumbs doe ? To 1 oyster (a tiny crab in one of the two dozen): maybe$ a mistake. But they were separated from the tie muscle so a knife shoulda ran that crab out. ?
They were out of gator and crablegs which were the 2 things I went there for. I got the shrimp and sausage boil. It was ok but this is not Cajun food though; this is southern seafood. They don't offer flavor selection with the boil, just butter and Cajun seasoning. The gumbo recipe is definitely not Louisiana style and neither is the red beans and rice. I would go again, but I would not get any Cajun dish. I'd just stick to fried shrimp or something lol
Food and service was very good. I highly recommend it
The food at JoJo's is absolutely fantastic! It is freshly prepared, perfectly seasoned, and the staff is extremely friendly. If you find yourself in the Jacksonville area, I highly recommend giving JoJo's a try!
I spent over $100 and was disappointed with my experience. The fries were soggy, and the coleslaw was just mayo and cabbage, with a bit of purple cabbage and a couple of carrot sticks—completely lacking flavor. The baked oysters also looked nothing like the pictures I saw. Overall, it was just not a great experience. To make matters worse, the bartender didn’t seem to know what a Tanqueray and tonic is. The one positive note is that I didn’t get sick from the food.
