The white sauce in the chicken in the rice tasted like ranch dressing with vinegar. Rice had no flavor. They gave me a pork empanada when I ordered beef. Their wings and chicken cutlet sandwich were good though.
There are so many Gourmet Delis in Queens not to mention New York City as a whole, but when it comes to both convenience and quality you can definitely count me in. 160 Gourmet Deli offers just that if you are looking for decent food in the neighborhood at affordable menu prices. Whether ordering online or in store, the options of a good meal are vast, you are sure to find something to suit your taste buds especially when other eateries aren't available in the area. New to me but definitely no stranger to the neighborhood,160 Gourmet Deli has been around since 2017 serving locals and others alike. Located in South Jamaica Queens right on the very corner of 160th Street and 107th Avenue a few blocks from York College and Maconi Park, it is a quick trip for some good food if nearby. The deli is small but offers a lot of convenient items varying from food to household needs. Neatly stocked with updated snacks, ice cream, deli meats and beverages. All the staff have been helpful and friendly to me each time I visit. The most popular reason customers line up in this deli seems to be for the hot food though. Thus far, I have tried the chopped cheese, cold turkey and cheese sandwich on a roll, french fries with cheese, onion rings, spicy chicken hero sandwich and grilled chicken wrap. They do have so much more to choose from such as specialty sandwiches, breakfast, tacos, Halal platters just to mention a few. Of all those listed which I have tasted, I always wind up getting the grilled chicken wrap. This wrap is my favorite with only grilled onions, pickles, cheese. You can have it prepared any way you like to preferred taste, but this is generally the way I like it. The chicken is perfectly grilled to a tenderness with slight doneness and generously seasoned (not sure of what seasoning they use), adding grilled onions, a few bread and butter pickle chips which give it a little sweet and tanginess and layered with melted American cheese all wrapped in a pressed grilled flour tortilla. I will have it no other way, it is simple and goes down well with a mango flavored vitamin water (chew, gulp burp). A local neighborhood deli that is worth giving a try. Good service to customers of all kinds, well known staff to almost everyone who frequently visits and is consistent with it's good food. Try it if you are passing or nearby.
The most racist dude working at night. Dirty unsanitary I don't reccimend that anyone eats here. These fuckers think I didn't see them preparing the food with no gloves no masks nothing. They don't even have a bathroom.
This is definitely a go to deli in the south side jamaica queens neighborhood. From hot sandwiches to cold hero sandwiches, you name it Dave's got it.chicken fingers cheese fries, chicken over rice, lamb over rice with the sauce.i just brought a Turkey cheese with lettuce and tomatoes with mayonnaise mustard. The sandwich was very meaty . Dont forget about Dave's grilled chicken salads which is full of meat and vegetables with olives and lettuce tomatoes. They give you a really nice portion for a decent price,I almost forget they have some really good wings buffalo spicy or original with some of that blue cheese sauce. Plus it is a bodega also that has house hold products sodas snacks cakes ,chips. So during these trying times for alot of people in the neighborhood and in nyc as a whole. With this whole coronavirus .Dave's deli is still open and serving the community. Shout out to the workers over there operating the deli the grill.
