Love their food! large portions with affordable price! recommended would be the lamb plate with spicy garlic sauce. owner is very friendly :
I have been living in the States for 2 years and as an Indian, I would say, he makes the best gyro sandwich(vegetarian). It's fulfilling, delicious and spicy. The foodcart is open till late night. If you're in downtown, do check this place out!
I 'm writing this review because Daniel deserves to succeed. After working with food for over 10 years, he told me he wanted to make his own food to make people happy, instead of being under management that had him making unethical meals for people. He said the money wasn 't important to him (and he definitely means it . He even sold his CAR to afford the deposit on his own food cart! When we were unsure what to order, he took the time to give us samples of a DELICIOUS special sauce he came up with. He took his time making this Amazing Deluxe Falafel wrap , and chatted with us the whole time, even dancing to his fun music . At the end, he really felt a genuine connection with us (as with his other customers there too! . I think he just loves making food for people, and seeing them happy. He 's so personable. Please go here, he 'll remember your name, and he 'll make sure you 're very happy. This connection goes so much further than almost any restaurant or food cart you 'll find, and it 's because he loved what he does. Keep this man in business, and he 'll keep Portland 's taste buds happy
5/5- TL;DR Rosemary makes great food, parking is good, support a local business run seriously. Great meat and vegetarian options. Danny is one of the most genuine and enterprising people in Portland- the city is made alive by people like him. The 4th St food carts are a perfect sample of PDX food carts: a few decent Hispanic and Indian carts, some Asian variety, and a corner cart whose rich yellow rice is the result of a generous helping of food dye and whose meat is questionable. There, in the far corner on SW College, is a little white cart with an American flag and bumping music. The smell is rich and spiced, the sight is aesthetic and orderly, the sound of sizzling warms the ears. Rosemary has been taken over by Danny after he left another food cart because the owner wanted to compromise quality and conditions(I've tasted the decline of the cart myself . On his own, Danny has, quite honestly, blown my socks off with how his food is not only great but improving every time now that he has the freedom to express his commitment to quality. Support a local business and give Rosemary your money! I have included a photo of the orange and spice marinated chicken shawarma plate with rice, fresh salad, pickled onion and carrot, olives(a great complement! , tzatziki(refreshing with strips of shredded cucumber , hummus(so creamy good , tahini sauce, garlic sauce, spicy sauce with a little extra, and a dolma.
