Írjon visszajelzéstMy mom and I went for an early dinner and all I can say is WOW. Everything we had was delicious and excellent. We shared the Brussels sprouts to start and they might be the best I've ever had. They were smothered in a chili sauce and had peanuts as well. The combination was surprisingly delicious and they were prepared perfectly. As for entrees, my mom ordered the chicken and waffles and I got the tuna poke bowl. I tried some of my mom's dish and it was wonderful. I am not a huge fan of chicken and waffles but the syrup made this dish. During my next visit, it might be hard to resist getting this. As for the tuna poke bowl, it was also wonderful. I've had my fair share of poke bowls and this was definitely in my top 5. The ingredients included were fresh and my favorite part was the wontons that I could use to eat the bowl like a dip. I wish I got more of them! This place is certainly a gem in downtown Johnstown and worth the visit if in the area!
Food was outstanding!!! Service was outstanding!!! Highly recommended. We were stopping through on our trip from Michigan back home to NJ. One negative. Though the singing/harmonica playing/guitar player was an excellent musician, he averaged 83.3 decibels in what is actually a small space. That is like having a loud car in the room. Way too loud to talk and actually painful to my ears. Made the end of the meal for me (a professional musician) a total drag.
Great spot to grab lunch. They have a nice selection of wraps and paninis, along with their special selections and a few salad options. Most lunch items come with a choice of chips, fruit, or slaw. Lunch is counter service only, and they do get busy. They also seem pretty flexible about modifying dishes for customers. The cupcakes here are killer good! Definitely save room for dessert. My only complaint here is their drinks... First visit I had a watery latte, second visit I had an overly-sweet chai which the waitress spilled and then served to me in a sticky cup. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in town and recommend the food, just not the coffee bar.
How is one of my favorite restaurants in Johnstwon, PA? I wish I knew. It seems like the oddest place for this gem, but let me say as someone who travels A LOT, and who eats out A LOT, I HAVE TO EAT HERE when I visit Johnstown for work. Let's be real: Johnstwon is a struggling former steel town, and the dining options are limited if you want to avoid a chain. Nonetheless, don't leave town without trying Press. I am not a beer drinker, but when I go with colleagues who are, they rave about the beer selection. I personally love the cucumber/cilantro margarita, and I've had almost half the food on the menu, front and back, and the diversity is amazing, and every dish worth it. The service is perfect, and the cost is more than reasonable. As long as it remains open, and I remain in Johnstown for work, then this is my go-to.
Found ourselves looking for a **** Mary in Johnstown and where so happy we found Press Bistro! It was noontime and walked in and where welcomed nicely by Mary and served a Great drink. The drink was a nice change of pace with an Old Bay seasoned rim and charred rosemary sprig. The mix was house made and quite delicious. Bacon, olive, pickle and lemon wedge garnish topped it off nicely. Definitely on our list of spots to return to when we come back into town. Note that the food and massive local spirit and beer selection is on point. Well done Press Bistro. Keep the team you have and let the good times roll! Cheers!!!
