Írjon visszajelzéstI won’t be returning. I used to visit almost every Tuesday, but I don't understand why a business would have a phone number and only answer it occasionally. I was planning to place a pick-up order, but when I called, it rang and went to voicemail. My sister called from her phone and got the same result. I called multiple times. To make matters worse, there were three employees present when I arrived. My sister decided to call again while we were inside, but it turned out they had removed the phone from the line; instead of ringing, it went straight to voicemail. If they want to keep their customers, they should start by treating them well.
The food was good, although a bit on the pricey side. The interior of the restaurant was quite nice. However, the fountain drink dispenser was out of order. The staff members were polite, but they lacked a friendly demeanor. Overall, it’s not a bad place, but with so many Mexican restaurants in Joliet, I think they need to find a way to stand out. A simple smile when guests enter would make a big difference in creating a welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, when checking in at the table, instead of just asking if everything is okay, it would be great if they could genuinely engage with customers, smile, and make eye contact when listening to their responses. While the meal was enjoyable, I felt that for $16 for a flauta dinner with a large horchata, I was expecting a bit more.
The hot sauce isn't the same as it used to be; it's spicy, but lacks any real flavor. The steak burrito arrived quickly, was hot, and had a good balance of ingredients—meaning it was a proper steak burrito rather than a burrito piled with toppings and minimal steak. Overall, the flavor was decent, but not outstanding. The meat wasn’t cooked to order, the cheese was over-melted, and the cold ingredients felt more like they had been microwaved, as they were too hot and lacked crispness. The final straw for me was when the cashier flat-out lied about getting a discount for paying in cash instead of with a credit card. That’s simply not true; the prices on the menu are the same, and paying with credit incurs an additional 3.99% charge. In my case, that extra charge was only about 50 cents, but it's the principle that matters. Taco Giselle, you've lost me as a customer. I won't be returning, and it's disappointing to remember what a great burrito should taste like, especially since you've strayed so far from that.
The steak tasted stale, and when I received chicken instead, they refused to refund my money.
Al pastor chimichanga dinner3 steak super tacosCheese friesXL horchataOrdered our food and was asked if we wanted chips and salsa. We said yes, never got any. My wife’s tacos came out first, then a few minutes later our “cheese” fries came out, but no cheese. We informed the server and he said he would be back with it. 10 minutes later, my chimi dinner came out. Still no cheese or horchata. So I reminded him again. Another server brought our horchata to us a few minutes later. Then our cheese came. If you can even call it that. Their microwave must be busted because not only was my beans and rice served cold, SO WAS THE CHEESE! I literally turned the cheese cup upside down and it sat in the cup. We didn’t even bother eating the fries because the were cold by the time we got cheese and DEFINITELY did not touch the cheese. Pictures to show the cold, clumped up cheese AND the amount of fries $3.19 gets you You get more fries from McDonalds value fries than Taco Giselle. This was our second time here and after failing twice, we will not be ever coming back.
