Uluwehi's Kava Grill - KAHUKU

Thought I would stop for some classic Island Kava. I was disappointed to find that it was a mix as you order Kava done poorly. Only by the glass, no bowl available. It was mixed thin and weak. It was not the traditional Kava I had hoped for and expected. Not a good experience.

The food was good. The server was very friendly and patient with us. We tried the Kava for the first time and it is definitely something to experience.

Very good pulled pork, not too salty good quantity, rice was nicely cooked just the right stickiness with the cabbage cooked with a nice flavor. The garlic shrimp looked great, since I didn't order it I didn't eat it. The frozen drinks were good, the lemonade was full of flavor, but not fresh squeezed. It has a varied menu with good prices.

The staff here is incredibly friendly. I had a wonderful experience, although my wife wasn't as thrilled for some reason. I had no complaints—the food was excellent. I ordered the smoked meat, which I believe is the standout dish on the menu, and it did not let me down. My wife tried the kalua pork, but she found it too salty for her taste, though I enjoyed it quite a bit. I would definitely return to this place!

We were cruising around the island with the family and stopped for a restroom break. The aroma of the smoked meat pulled us in. We placed our order, and Kalani (what a charming guy!) entertained us not only with music but also with great conversation while we waited. When the food arrived, it did not disappoint! We will definitely be making this a regular stop on our drives. Thank you! Sorry we don't have any pictures; the food was so delicious that we just couldn't help but devour it right away! Lol!
