Gala Tavern - Kalgoorlie

The best Thai food in town! The prices are reasonable, and the flavors are superior to other places. Located in the old Gala Pub near the main train station, there's just a small sign at the front, but it's definitely worth a visit. The service was friendly, the food was authentic, and with generous portion sizes, you can take home any leftovers. Steamed rice is available if needed. We will definitely be returning, and we highly recommend it!

I found about this restaurant from word of mouth. On the outside it just looks like a standard Aussie pub, but on the inside is a team of the friendliest, loveliest Thai ladies. The menu is authentic traditional Thai food and the prices are very good for what you get. I’m half Thai and this food reminds me of the food I had growing up. I never thought I would find some of the best Thai food in Kalgoorlie in the Gala Tavern of all places, but this place exceeds all expectations. Most underrated restaurant in Kalgoorlie. Such a hidden gem. Every person I’ve brought here had no clue it existed and I think this place does not get the recognition it deserves. If you are looking for somewhere new to eat in Kalgoorlie, go here you can not go wrong. I highly recommend the deep fried pork belly, the chicken wings, the sticky rice, the Panang curry, the Massaman curry, the Tom Yum, and the Tom Kha. 10/10 food and customer service.
