Located in the Kalix area, this restaurant is my go-to dining spot. While there aren't many options for vegetarians, the ones they offer are decent. I found the vegan poke bowl to be a bit lacking as it didn't have any extra elements like tofu, but it was still satisfying. The halloumi dish was enjoyable, especially with its teriyaki-style flavor. The vegan brownie was absolutely delicious! The pomodoro pasta was okay, albeit a bit boring. Overall, the fresh and cozy atmosphere of this small restaurant makes it a delightful place to dine. However, in larger cities with more variety, it might not stand out as much.
This restaurant is extremely cozy and has a harmonious atmosphere. The staff is polite and attentive. The menu includes a variety of sweet options like rolls and cakes, as well as savory dishes like salads and other delicious foods. They also offer pre-orders and have a private room for intimate gatherings.
My partner and I stopped by this restaurant on a rainy summer day, while visiting Kalix for the first time. It appeared to be one of the few places in town, along with a Thai and Chinese restaurant, that served vegan food. We ordered Vevve's vegan poke bowl and found it to be delicious. The dish was well-balanced, with a variety of ingredients such as kimchi, avocado, rice, edamame, carrot, cherry tomatoes, a small salad, and a tasty vegan dressing. I particularly enjoyed their fruity and perfect coffee. However, they did not have oat milk or any options for a vegan chai latte for my partner, who ended up having a tea from Lipton. Additionally, there were no vegan brownies or pastries available, which were two key factors in my decision to give this restaurant 3 stars instead of 4. Despite these shortcomings, I still recommend Vevve for vegans visiting Kalix.
Located in the Kalix area, this restaurant is my go-to choice for dining out. While there are not many vegetarian options, the ones they do offer are decent. The vegan poke bowl was a bit underwhelming for me as it lacked extra elements like tofu, but it was still good and filling. I enjoyed the halloumi bowl with its teriyaki-style flavoring. The vegan brownie was particularly delicious. The pomodoro pasta was okay, albeit a bit bland, but still tasty. Overall, despite the limited options, the fresh feeling of dining out in this small place makes it a pleasant experience. My rating is based on the lack of variety compared to bigger cities, where this restaurant may not score as highly.
