A very nice place. After a walk in the park, we always stop by for a bite to eat at this restaurant. The food is very tasty and prepared in a homestyle manner. Sometimes dishes might be a bit cold closer to closing time, but there’s a microwave available for reheating, so that’s not an issue. During the day, the place is quite busy, which speaks to its popularity. I really appreciate that everything is served hot during lunch. If you're looking to park for free while you grab a snack, you'll need to find a spot nearby; there’s now a paid parking option right by the restaurant that contributes to the city budget. I've been to many places but chose to return as a regular customer here. I definitely recommend it.

Quick, tasty, and affordable. There is a large selection of dishes, and I really enjoyed the baked fish with potatoes served in a small cast iron boat. It’s as fast as a cafeteria, yet delicious and cozy like a café! The staff at the serving area, the cashier, and in the dining room are polite and friendly. I highly recommend it!!!

I'm a resident of Tul province who advises all tourists who have come to Calugou to find a place where they're good and not expensive to eat, to visit the Compote Café.

We often stop by for a quick bite, and the food is delicious. The service is fairly quick, and if you visit on a weekend and encounter a long line, there's usually a second register open—though not everyone is aware of it. The ambiance is cozy and clean, with comfy seating and a pleasant atmosphere.
