The Cafe One - Kandy

Clean, comfortable, with a good view of the hills beyond. On the wall is an artistically drawn color chalk elephant. The owner of this relatively new café is quite friendly.

This place was a hidden gem. Did the most amazing food and drinks for very cheaply priced. Had a lovely atmosphere and interior.

Calm and quiet place to hangout. They have a good view of the mountains too. We had some burgers and submarines which were not too great but given the cheap price, it's the best what we can ask for. Despite we were the only customers at that time, our order to took forever to arrive.

Wonderful food, freshly prepared by charming young staff! I had the veggie burger with fries an Ocean Mojito, without alcohol. That veggie burger was definitely the best I‘ve ever had! The vegetables in it comprised the patty. Usually veggie burgers taste like a frozen and breaded patty from the supermarket because it takes time to prepare from scratch. It was worth the wait! And the burger sauce was delicious- not at all spicy, if you want a break from Sri Lankan fare. We found the staff to be very sweet eager to please, but without hovering. We had been there before to have a coffee it was really good, so we decided to go back for dinner. Be warned that the decor isn‘t all that great, but I think it‘ll get better when the money comes rolling in. Oh, they also don‘t serve alcohol and you have to wait a bit because they take such care with the prep and presentation. Oh, my hubby tried the Tower Burger and the special chocolate shake and was also pleased. We‘re big fans of this tiny restaurant!
