Local Boy Sushi - Kaneohe

I had the Deluxe Cheeseburger and was as shocked as it was. The best burger for only 4.25. Yeah, it's small, but so full of taste. My husband has the lava roll and it was super good! For the first time I tried the handrolling maki with shrimp empura and it was surprisingly good. The menu is somewhat limited, but so delicious.

Fresh fish and good value for the poke bowl! Definitely the most value compared to other poke shops on Oahu!

I also tried the hand roll maki with shrimp tempura for the first time and it was surprisingly good. The menu is a bit limited but so tasty.

I have some friends that live on Oahu, and have visited several times. In my opinion, this is the BEST spot for poke on the island! The lava bowl is bomb! Spicy tuna with sweet unagi sauce yum! Then the avocado and tempura shrimp were just a delicious added bonus. Props for offering something a little different than most poke places on the island. Definitely a must try if you're in Kaneohe!

A 3 star review, simply because it 's a hole in the wall with limited seating, the menu options are limited, and the sushi was OKAY. It was okay, nothing g special. Perhaps I expected more since this place was hyped up by a few people and other reviews I came across prior to my visit. Anyway so I got the LBS combo pack for $18. Comes with: 2 PC ahi nigiri 2 PC salmon nigiri 8 PC California maki 2 PC smoked salmon 2 PC spicy ahi 2 PC ahi poke I enjoyed the ahi poke the best out of everything in the combo pack. But again, there just wasnt anything special about it all. That 's all I had, and perhaps I would need to try other items on their menu. But for now, this is all I can review on. Until next time. Oh and I didn 't snap any pics of the combo, so sorry for that, I was starving by the time I got there and gobbled it down before realizing I hadn 't snapped any pics of the food, lol!
