My family n mine, our regular place for lunch for many years...love the Keli goreng n asam pedas (northern style) n ulaman w sambal/air asam... Definitely a 5 star for me...

1 of our lunch when you drive to Padang Besar. Must come and try their fried fish, crispy from meat to bone. Mixed with air. Perfect!

Pokok Sawa. This is the home of good Malay food in the State of Perlis. Really good home cooking. Genuine taste. Reasonably good variety too. Ulam. Vegetable dishes. Variety of fishes. Curry and BBQ and fried. Chicken and beef dishes. Big dining area to cater for the Lunch crowd. Good quality food. Good service by the staff. And best of all the prices are cheap.

Authentic 'kampong ' style restaurant particulary Perlis style dishes. Keli goreng or bakar, alongside sayur keladi is their trademark. The keli is on par with the famous Anjung Keli. And personally for me, the very best dish are the humblest one, the simple sambal belacan and air asam. Top of the class. It is unwritten fact that 'ayer tangan ' orang lama are the best.
