Fish City - Kansas City

I absolutely love Fish City! I've been a regular since they first opened many years ago, and it’s definitely my favorite place for fish. I always order the #3 catfish, along with fries, hot sauce, white bread, and I prefer the fish cooked soft.

I absolutely love this restaurant! The staff is incredibly sweet and charming, and the fish is consistently delicious. It can be a bit salty at times, but that might just be due to my preference since I have high blood pressure and use very little salt. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot for fried fish!

I had an outstanding experience at this restaurant, thanks to the exceptional customer service and delicious food. They offer a wide selection of fish, chicken wings, desserts, and more, all prepared by talented soul food cooks. If you find yourself in the Kansas City, Missouri area, I highly recommend giving it a try! I'm really grateful my cousin introduced me to this place during my visit!

Wow! This place has some of the best fish I've ever had at a local restaurant. The staff is friendly and funny—just like good Midwestern folks! I ordered the bassa, and it was light, sweet, and flavorful, cooked to fluffy perfection. The fried okra hushpuppies are a must-try (if you know, you know—it’s not about violence, just really good food!). Whether you live in the area or are just passing through, you should definitely make a stop here! And don't forget to try the German chocolate cake. Parking is plentiful too!

I've always ordered the catfish steaks, but this time the pieces were particularly small. I placed two orders. Additionally, the menu listed prices that were about $2 less than what I was actually charged. This was a call-in order, and one of the customer receipts included a $1.15 service fee. I haven't checked to see if that fee was actually applied yet. Overall, I would rate the food a 2 out of 5.
