Novel - Kansas City

In my opinion, this is one of the best dining experiences in Kansas City. I particularly enjoyed the duck agnolotti; the pickled cherry added a delightful burst of flavor. The scallops and key lime cake were also exceptional.

I had an amazing meal last night—nothing could top it. Everything was spot on. The warm octopus salad was fantastic and made for a wonderful appetizer. The freshly made tagliatelle with pork and sweetbread was incredibly authentic. The homemade lobster ravioli was perfectly balanced, delivering an intense lobster flavor. Nothing was drenched in sauces or filled with unnecessary ingredients. The portion sizes were just right (and reasonably priced), making it easy to share several dishes and enjoy a leisurely evening. There was even room for dessert, which was the perfect way to end the meal. Thank you for a wonderful dinner!

Wow! I am absolutely blown away! After living in NYC, Boston, Maryland, Las Vegas, and now Houston, I consider myself a foodie, and I’m truly impressed by Novel Restaurant! I never expected to find such a culinary gem in Kansas City, MO. Everything on the menu is outstanding! I’ve been there twice for dinner, and both times I was thrilled with the food, from the soup and salad to the main dishes. Don’t miss out on their desserts—they’re incredible! Thank you to the kitchen crew; you are amazing! Plus, the service was fantastic as well!

I love Novel. Your menus are all quirky and change. The location is picturesque and located in the intersection. The staff is friendly and attentive. Food and drinks are AMAZING. The price is also very fair for what you get, and the presentation is some of the best I have experienced. Please go to Novel if you get the chance!

Loved our time here! We got 4 small plates and fried cauliflower and split between two people. Perfect amount of food.
