Thiergarten Restaurant Bar

We stopped in here with three other couples all touring the City together. We were warmly greeted and seated quickly at a large table assembled to accommodate all of us. The menu had many interesting dishes but we all seemed to concentrate on the pizzas and pastas. All of our meals came up shortly, even the pizza, and we were all impressed by the presentation and taste of our selections. The carbonara was especially good as were the large glasses of the local Schaffhausen beer. We all had a very enjoyable lunch.

Food was only average, but Swiss prices. Main dish was fish with fried potatoes, nothing special. Dessert was too hard/dry and in a strange combination with some fruits on the plate. I don't really plan to return. In case I would return I'd better try...the pizzas (looking at other reviews).

Nice location in the middle of downtown. Friendly staff. Normal Swiss high prices but excellent food. It's worth it. Pizza is great here.

Tolle Auswahl an traditionellen Schweizer Gerichten. Perfekt für ausländische Gäste. Das Essen war hervorragend, besonders das Cordon Bleu und das Zürcher Geschnetzelte sind sehr zu empfehlen. Das gemütliche Restaurant befindet sich zentral in der Altstadt. Leider gab es an diesem Tag keine englische Speisekarte. Der Service war freundlich und schnell. Gerne wieder!

Ich war beruflich in diesem Restaurant essen. Die saisonale Kürbissuppe ist wirklich sehr zu empfehlen. Der nachfolgende Rehpfeffer war jedoch sehr enttäuschend. Auch die dazu gereichten Spätzli waren ziemlich trocken. Das Ambiente und der Service haben mich hingegen wieder sehr überzeugt. Angesichts der Tatsache, dass das Restaurant fast leer war, hätte ich allerdings erwartet, dass das Essen etwas schneller serviert wird.
