Bobby V's Italian Pizzeria - Kapaa

Bobby W's offers fantastic gluten-free options and has delighted our kids with their pizzas! Traveling with an 9-year-old and an 11-year-old can be challenging, but they loved the food here! When we return to Kauai, we will definitely stop by Bobby W's again. I typically wouldn't travel 3,000 miles for spaghetti and meatballs—unless I'm in Italy—but wow, it was absolutely delicious!

Stop to get a pizza for the children and ended with the food Pesto Pasta with crispy chicken (big) and chicken parmesan sandwich (good). The food was great and the feeling of Mom and Pop Restaurant was definitely there. Pizza was amazing... the kids ate it the next day.

Nice restaurant with tasty food. Calamari was delicious! Our waiter was very nice and attentive, qualities that are absent from other wait staff at different restaurants on Kauai. Prices weren't terrible either.

On Mother's Day, we chosen to dine at Diane's Taxi and Tours, which has a unique insider tip — they have a bar with an entrance on the west side, offering two menus: a happy hour menu and a regular restaurant menu. The prices were quite reasonable; our dinner for three, along with a bottle of Chianti, came to just $110. Diane ordered the garlic Mahi and enjoyed it, although she added some mayonnaise. Kathy tried the Mediterranean pizza with a cauliflower crust and basil sauce; I had a slice, and it was nicely browned. I added the Greek chicken salad, but the chicken was a little dry. Fortunately, Diane provided me with two containers of balsamic Greek dressing, which made everything taste great. The service and wait times were good, especially considering it was Mother's Day. I've dined here before at the covered outdoor tables, but I look forward to returning and sitting at the bar again.

I had a great time customizing my own pizza and Greek salad. The ingredients for both the pizza and salad were fresh. The total came to $36 for a 12-inch pizza and the salad, which felt a bit pricey, but prices in Hawaii tend to be higher in general. The service was a little slow, but my server was friendly. Overall, I would recommend this place for pizza if you’re in Kauai.
