Írjon visszajelzéstI hope this was a free day for this restaurant. We made a reservation by Open Table, but the hostess did not appear there to have seen it on her reservation sheet along with a big party in front of us, booked with OT as well. Once we sat, no one ever came to our table next to a menu. I think we were sitting before the staff could do more customers. I wish this institution well. The food that came to the table next to us looked so delicious.
That was our 2nd visit. We were so happy with our first experience that we returned in the following week (in anticipation of their great opening). We understand that the staff needs some exercise, but we expect that we have the same service as our first visit at least. Please call your servers to write orders. It's not a good look if you need to return to confirm what you asked. Secondly, we ordered the same bottle of wine at both visits only to find that it was more expensive at the 2nd visit. I ordered the crab cakes as my duck both visits and received 2 on my first and 1 on my 2. Consistency is the key. If you order frits for a toddler, they should be served before all adult entrees do not last. Why do you keep your great opening with live jazz? Everything's inside! Last but not least, if you offer us a beer and a glass of Pinotgrigio for all errors, please do not return with a riesling. We didn't have the heart to complain about the wrong complication so we left. We were so excited to have a new restaurant in Katy, but can't return to good conscience...Signed, Sad and Disappointed
What a great new discovery. We met friends for dinner after the good Friday service and wanted something local and tasty. One of our friends said that they learned from a new restaurant in Katy, led by a big new chef Tha Roux Seafood. The restaurant had plenty of space for social distancing and an interesting, Cajun inspired menu, while also a little different from all others. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. I am not sure why the bar was not open; they can still be in the process of obtaining their license, or maybe it was a personnel problem. Guests can enjoy BYOB.
Additionally, we ordered the same bottle of wine on both visits, only to find that it was priced higher during our second visit. I ordered crab cakes instead of duck this time, and while I received two cakes on the first visit, I only got one during the second. Consistency is crucial. If we order fries for a toddler, they should be served before the adult entrees to ensure they don't get cold or go unnoticed. We were disappointed that the big opening featured live jazz, yet everything was confined indoors. Lastly, when you offer us a beer and a glass of Pinot Grigio to make up for the mistakes, it’s frustrating to receive a Riesling instead. We didn’t have the heart to complain about the mix-up, so we chose to leave quietly. We were genuinely excited about having a new restaurant in Katy, but sadly, we cannot return with a clear conscience. Sincerely, Sad and Disappointed
What a fantastic new find! After the Good Friday service, we decided to meet some friends for dinner and were looking for something local and delicious. One of our friends mentioned a new restaurant in Katy called Tha Roux Seafood, run by a new chef. The restaurant had ample space for social distancing and offered an intriguing Cajun-inspired menu that was unique compared to others. The waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive. I’m not certain why the bar wasn’t open; they might still be in the process of obtaining their license, or perhaps there was a staffing issue. Guests are welcome to bring their own beverages.
