Safeway - Kelso

The manager is absolutely terrible! It seems like everyone is scared of him.

The staff is friendly here. Ambiance is okay, I mean, it's a grocery store lol You can't expect too much of it. It's not haggen or whole food, but it's decent.

I placed an order for pickup on 9/6 at 7:00, but changed the pickup time to 2:00 in the morning. However, by 3:45, I still had not received any notification about my order. When I checked, I realized that my pickup time had been reverted back to 7:00. Despite living 43 miles away from Safeway, I decided to drive at 6:15. While I was in Kelso, I received a text informing me of a delay in my order. Due to visibility issues at night, I called the store to reschedule the pickup for 9/7. I arrived at Safeway at 3:30, after traveling 86 miles. I informed the staff that I was there and was informed that I was third in line behind just one person. Although I was willing to wait, I became frustrated when newer orders were being fulfilled while mine was overlooked. After calling, I was informed that my order could not be located, despite no prior communication about any issues. I expressed my concerns to customer service, and my food was eventually put into my car. However, it was later discovered that they had forgotten to include my frozen food. The store offered to have it delivered, but I needed it immediately. This experience cost me a full tank of gas and 240 miles on my car, and I did not return home until 5:40. This incident justifies the belief that minimum wage employees should not receive high wages unless they have proven themselves capable. It was an incredibly disappointing experience, especially coming from one of my favorite stores.

Conveniently situated. I ordered drumsticks (ice cream). The restaurant was not crowded, and I did not feel rushed even as it was close to closing time.

Cleanliness is always quite great along with very helpful staff ..but only when asked!!! that is just about the only downfall. Prices are good too tho and can't beat the weekly deals! ? on the FRESHNESS of EVERYTHING ALWAYS
