Ye Olde College Inn - Kenner

$15 for a domestic beer.. I get airport prices but over $30 for 2 plastic cups of beer. Won't be back, don't stop..

This place is deplorable. We tried to overtip the bartender, Denise, thinking she would loosen up and be appreciative of our business....not to mention we were dealing with a massively delayed flight. The place was packed and all she and the manager were worried about was closing the bar/restaurant. The two margaritas I had were nothing but sour mix and ice. Shrimp poboy was surprisingly good for being an airport restaurant. It wasn't super busy, and we didn't wait more than 10 minutes for our food. It was a bit odd that it was served on paper plates, but it was fine.

Double check your receipt. I had lunch there on a Friday and ate alone. I noticed afterwards that I was automatically charged a gratuity on my bill (which the server didn’t mention or bring to my attention so I tipped on top of that). In Texas you’re only automatically charged a gratuity if you have a party or 6 or more. I’ve never heard of being automatically charged a gratuity when you’re eating by yourself. The server was Lusy.
