The house-made cakes at this restaurant are excellent and delicious. It is no longer located in the city, but instead can be found at the small red cake car across from La Fogata.

Don't expect a pie shop at the address given. It's actually a deli that sells 2 flavors of the small pies that are made at the actual shop located somewhere downtown we were told. We had already circled the block a couple times, so were not in for another wild goose chase to the pie shop.

All the pies are great! Delicious down to the last bite.

Before kovid I went to cake every day. the cakes are consistent and tasty. I have cakes for thanksgiving and they were in order. we didn't finish them. a few of them were crushed, but that's just cosmetic. this is just my assessment for this one time. I'll probably try them again on a day that is not busy.

The name and photos in this list are misleading. there is no cake shop here, but a food store called tenuta’s that carries a few sorts of elsie maes cake (some fresh, some frozen.) the cake I had (strawberry rhubarb, a personal favorite) was very good, but the selection was very limited. the owner of this listing could consider changing it to elsie mae’s at tenuta’s and removing photos from a branchfront that does not exist.
